And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Matthew 24:6-8
In the last days there will be wars, rumors of wars, famines, and earthquakes in various places. What we are seeing recently is a substantial increase in all of these worldwide.
WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS
Who is not aware of the fact that there are wars all over the world and have been continuously for this entire generation. If you’ve been watching real news and not fake news, you know that there has been an increase in skirmishes, rumors of wars, and wars, especially in the middle east. The threat that Russia, Turkey, and Iran are to Israel is amazing. All three of these countries are in desperate economic crisis, and all three have been amassing their military forces for action against Israel. They have been working together against Israel for a long time, but it is now rising to crisis levels that indicate something is going to break soon.
We’ve seen the threat of nuclear war from North Korea, the threat of war with China over the islands China created in International waters, regular skirmishes with Russia, and the continuing wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, South Sudan, Somalia, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and there are many more.
“Of the 162 countries covered by the Institute for Economics and Peace’s (IEP’s) latest study, just 11 were not involved in conflict of one kind or another.” [Source: Independent News]
Did you know that the United States has over 1,000 military installations around the world? The U.S. spends as much money on our military budget as all the countries in the rest of the world combined. The U.S. unfortunately is the biggest war machine in the history of the world. That’s not a political statement or a statement of ideology—it is a statement of fact. You would be hard pressed to find someone who loves this country, our flag, and our constitution more than this author. I wore the uniform of a USAF officer with pride.
It is in keeping with the fulfillment of Bible prophesy that the U.S. is prosecuting wars and military action around the world 24/7. Some think the U.S. is Babylon in Bible prophesy and will be severely judged and destroyed by God’s wrath. I have not been able to come to resolution on that in my own mind.
It’s not shocking anymore, but the main street media does not publish stories about the famines around the world, how they have dramatically increased, and about the millions of people who are affected and dying. If we include pestilences, the numbers are even larger. To track this kind of information or to even be aware of it, one has to go to independent news sources, and many of those independent news sources on Youtube are being de-monetized, shadow banned, and even deleted.
Remember the obvious—the world hates God, and the main street media hates God. They are not going to do believers any favors by confirming the reality of the last days according to scripture. If you want to see more documentary evidence that famines have been increasing, I recommend watching some videos. Choose the videos you watch carefully at Famine Videos.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, so that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man and beast and every plant of the field, in the land of Egypt.” Then Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt. There was hail and fire flashing continually in the midst of the hail, very heavy hail, such as had never been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. The hail struck down everything that was in the field in all the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And the hail struck down every plant of the field and broke every tree of the field. Only in the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel were, was there no hail. Exodus 9:22-26
It is clear in the Old and New Testaments that God’s wrath is often expressed with earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, and storms. Exodus 9 above is an example of that, but there are many examples in the scriptures.
“We have recently experienced a period that has had one of the highest rates of great earthquakes ever recorded,” said lead study author Tom Parsons, a research geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Menlo Park, California. (See Big Earthquakes Double in Size).
“The last ten years have been a remarkable time for great earthquakes. Since December 2004 there have been no less than 18 quakes of Mw8.0 or greater – a rate of more than twice that seen from 1900 to mid-2004.” (See A Global Surge of Earthquakes).
“Current graphs clearly show an alarming worldwide trend of increasing earthquake strength and frequency. These results are in agreement with the USGS statistics page, which shows an increase in the frequency of stronger earthquakes (M > 5.0).“ (See Liberty Voice)
As of August 13, 2018, there were 81,772 earthquakes in the past 365 days. (See Earthquake Track)
We cannot say we are unaware of the increasing earthquakes around the world. While the mainstream media ignores such prophetic news, this information is still available to believers on the Internet.
What does all this mean? It means we are seeing the fulfillment of Biblical prophesy with the increasing wars, rumors of wars, famines, and earthquakes. Of course, if this was all that was happening, we might question whether this is truly the fulfillment of prophesy, but when you add the cumulative fulfillment of events around the world on other prophesies, there can be no doubt.
